    Cornelia Sue (Gainey) Saylor

    Cornelia Sue (Gainey) Saylor passed away April 29, 2019, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville. She was born on Sept. 2, 1959, in Cross City to Sylvester Gainey and Betty Sue (Cannon) Meador. Sue was a loving wife, mother and friend to anyone that needed one. She was a stay home wife and loved spending time with family and friends.

    Sue is survived by her husband of more than 30 years Ted Saylor of Steinhatchee, her daughter Lynn (Shane) Padgett of Steinhatchee, grandson Layne Padgett of Steinhatchee, brother Roger (Melissa) Gainey of Horseshoe, brother Lonnie (Lisa) Meador of Mississippi, sister Debbie Campbell, Rita (Garland) King, Lynn (Ricky) Gibson and Paula (Dennis) Woodard, all of Mississippi and a host of nieces and nephews.

    She is preceded in death by her father Sylvester Gainey, mother Betty Sue (Cannon) Meador, brother Rudy Gainey and sister Michele (Gainey) Hendricks.

    The family received friends and family in a celebration of Sue’s life at her home at 307 Allen Lane, Steinhatchee, Fla., on Saturday, May 4, 2019, around 12 noon.
