Suspect headbutts officer

A Perry Police Department (PPD) officer was headbutted in the face while attempting to take a suspect into custody during a drug arrest.

The officer, Ptl. Coven Phelps, sustained only minor injuries in the attack and the suspect, Jarrod B. Anderson, 24, of Perry, was taken into custody without further incident.
