Stanley Berg, 74,
passed away on May 8, 2019, in Perry. Stan was born January 19, 1945, in Cook
County, Ill., to Marvin Berg and Mary Altman Berg.
Stan honorably served our country in the United States Army and was a member of
the American Legion and the Moose Lodge in Ft. Lauderdale. Stan worked as a
carpenter with J&S Drywall in Ft. Lauderdale; he also built cabinets with
Larry Sapp out of Ft. Lauderdale. Mr. and Mrs. Berg moved to Perry in 2009, and
he continued woodworking, making beautiful things for family and friends.
He was preceded in death by the mother of his children Judy Streicher, his
parents Marvin and Mary Berg, his daughters Mary Berg and Adina Berg, and
granddaughter Shawnie Easlick.
Stan is survived by his wife Mrs. Connie Ware-Berg; his daughters, Theresa
Casella (Rich), and Patty Gunnoe (Barry); his step sons Walter White, Douglas
White, and Mark Niece; his siblings, Billy Berg, Sarah Stroyek, Richard
Berg, and Sandy Knight; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; as well
as a host of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Stan’s life will be held at a later date. All arrangements are
under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
