    Posted on May 17, 2019

Tree Capital FSU Credit Union has donated a collection of autographed balls to Saturday’s auction benefiting burn victim Aiden Rice. The football, signed by Head Football Coach Willie Taggart, will be given to Aiden himself, while the softball (signed by ACC Championship Coach Lonni Alameda) and baseball (signed by Head Coach Mike Martin, who recently retired after 40 seasons) will be up for bid. (Above) Sheriff Wayne Padgett, who organized the auction, accepts the collection from Credit Union Board Member Bill Brynes (left) and Perry Branch Supervisor Erica Rommes.

While burn victim Aiden Rice continues to make strides toward recovery at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Galveston, Texas, his hometown is rallying on his behalf to raise funds to assist him and his family.

More than 100 items have been donated by local businesses and individuals for a benefit auction spearheaded by Sheriff Wayne Padgett that will be held this Saturday at Forest Capital Hall, starting at 6 p.m.
