The playground at Rosehead Park opened Tuesday and has been “kid tested and approved.” The playground is located adjacent to the new splash pad, which has seen heavy use since its recent opening. For anyone concerned with the amount of water used at the water attraction, City Manager Bob Brown noted that some 1,800 gallons of water are utilized at the splash pad–which equates to “less than $5.” Sisters Katie Sellers, 7, and Ashley Sellers, 9, along with Anna Drawdy, 8, Selina Drawdy, 10, and Sammi Drawdy, 9, were among those testing out the playground Thursday.
