River waters high, but ‘holding their own’

Despite continued rains over the past several weeks, Taylor County’s rivers are “holding their own” and no flooding has been reported, according to Taylor County Emergency Management officials.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flood warning for the Aucilla River at Lamont, which was just above floodstage as of presstime Thursday.
