Commission votes to revoke tax exemption for townhouse project

The Taylor County Commission has revoked an ad valorem tax exemption given to San Pedro Investments, LLC back in 2017 for “The Davis” townhouse community.

Stating the company’s recently-submitted annual report had not shown enough job creation to meet the county’s guidelines, the commission voted unanimously last week to discontinue the exemption, which had saved the company $4,358 in taxes in 2017 and $4,341 in 2018.
