8U All-Stars baseball team takes first place

Taylor County’s 8U All-Star baseball team traveled to Newberry this past weekend to play in a District All-Star warm-up tournament and pulled off the impressive feat of battling back through the loser’s bracket to take home first place after losing their opening game to Carrigan.

Teams competing this past weekend in Newberry included: Gainesville, Lake City, Chiefland, Bradford County, Carrigan, Santa Fe, Gilchrist County and Sumter County.
