Former County Administrator Ted Lakey claims he was wrongfully terminated and is demanding Taylor County compensate him for “violations of his due process” and “attorney’s fees incurred as a result of Taylor County’s violation of Florida law.”
In a March 11 letter sent to the county commission, Tallahassee-based Radey Law Firm attorney Jordann Allen stated her firm represents Lakey and has evaluated the events surrounding the county’s Nov. 14, 2018 meeting, “wherein the county violated Florida and federal law by summarily discontinuing Mr. Lakey’s employment without notice, hearing or due process.”
