Doris Jane Cone

Mrs. Doris Jane Cone, 72, passed away on May 31, 2019, in Tallahassee. Doris was born May 22, 1947, in Salem, Fla., to Mr. William Davis and Mrs. Maggie Drawdy Davis.

Doris was a wonderful person who loved her children and grandchildren and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. 

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. William and Maggie Davis, and three brothers, Gary, Joe, and James Davis.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Johnny E. Cone; children Debbie Holton, Angel Rau, Kristie Hicks, Ronnie Tucker, Rhonda Williamson; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sisters Betty Williams, Sue Keck, Sissy Bazemore and Mary Lamb; and one brother Walter Davis, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Noble officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Madison.
