City manager can forgive property liens up to $10,000

Thanks to changes recently adopted by the Perry City Council, the city manager can now negotiate with property owners to waive or release liens that have been placed against properties for code violations.

City Manager Taylor Brown asked for direction on waiving liens, noting “we do not have a written policy in place.”
