The future of a single-lane, wooden bridge in Steinhatchee has sparked numerous debates and no small amount of indecision on the part of the Taylor County Commission over the past month.
The bridge, which allows Granger Drive to cross over one of the community’s many canals, has been closed to all traffic since January when the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) declared it unsafe due to structural deficiencies.
