Voters go to the polls for special election

Nearly 9.5% of Taylor County voters have already cast their ballots in Tuesday’s special election for the open Florida House District 7 seat.

As of presstime Thursday, a total of 1,176 votes had been cast out of 12,427 registered voters. Of those, 892 ballots had been cast by mail while another 284 voters had taken advantage of early voting hours at the Taylor County Supervisor of Elections office.
