Margie Pauline “Polly” McDonald

Margie Pauline “Polly” McDonald, 93, passed away on June 10, 2019, at her home in St. Augustine. Polly was born December 27, 1925, in Pickens County, Ala., to Mr. Samuel O’Briant and Lula Harcrow O’Briant.

Prior to moving to St. Augustine in 2014 she had lived in Perry and was an active member of New Home Baptist Church for 50 years.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents Mr. Samuel and Lula O’Briant and her husband J.P. McDonald.

She is survived by four children: Wanda Brown Bray of St. Augustine, Sam Brown of Pomona Park, Fla., John P. McDonald Jr. of Gainesville, and Michael McDonald and his wife Rhonda of Newberry; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Pastor Jeff Stading officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterwards in Pineview Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2019, at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
