City extends deadline for utility bills after mail snafu

In response to a large number of complaints from city residents who received their monthly utility bills late or not at all, City of Perry officials have apologized and announced they are extending the due date and service cut-off dates by one week this month.

“Due to the high number of misdirected bills this month, the due date for June bills will now be this Friday, June 21, and the service cut-off date will be next Friday, June 28,” stated City Manager Taylor Brown Tuesday.
