Seven local youth take part in 4-H Legislature

When the 2013 Florida 4-H Legislature convened in Tallahassee, more than 200 teen members in the 4-H House and Senate were sworn in. Youth attendees representing Taylor County were: representatives Rohan Patel, Catherine Weed and Jessica Welch, and lobbyists Haley Osteen, Douglas Bethea and William Blue.

With both a House and Senate in session, teen legislators’ lobbyists and reporters debated a variety of issues and learned how the government works.
