    SWAT targets convenience store ads

    Members of Taylor County SWAT (Students Working Against Tobacco) asked the Perry City Council Tuesday to consider adopting a tobacco retail licensing ordinance that would address the tobacco industry’s “Point of Sale” marketing, primarily found at convenience stores.

    Coincidentally, a co-owner of one of Taylor County’s largest convenience store retailers, Don Everett Jr. of Ware Oil, was in the audience for an unrelated agenda item.
