Close call

A red Ford truck traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 19 around 7:30 a.m. Saturday careened off the road near Robert Ricketson Road and overturned, coming to a stop on the driver’s side door.

Witnesses near the scene quickly responded to the accident, including an off-duty nurse who happened to be passing by. Fire- Rescue, EMS, highway patrol and local deputies all responded to the call.
