Margaret Anne Vann, 76, passed away on July 3, 2019, in Tallahassee. Margaret was born July 12, 1942, in Cullman, Ala., to Farley Tanner and Pauline Stancil Tanner.
Mrs. Vann was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Margaret was a courier for the US Postal Service in Perry for over 20 years. Margaret was a former school bus driver for Taylor County Schools and worked at the Perry Nursing Home. Mrs. Vann loved to cook, and in her spare time she enjoyed gardening and crocheting.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Farley and Pauline Tanner, her brothers Billy and Darrell Tanner.
Mrs. Vann is survived by her husband of 59 years, Donald H. Vann; her children, Lisa Ragans (Donnie) and Jeff Vann (Sheri); her brothers, Keith Tanner, Paul Tanner, Tim Tanner, and Buck Tanner (Mary Ann); her sister Faye Jones (Randy); four grandchildren, Jordan Vann, Scottie Vann, Ashley Ragans, and Hunter Vann; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 5, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Greg Ragans officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterwards in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2019, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
