Meet the coach!

Newly-hired Taylor County High School (TCHS) Head Football Coach Maurice Belser will host a “meet and greet” Thursday, July 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the TCHS gym. The community is invited to attend.

Belser, 45, of Jasper, Ala., played offensive and defensive line in high school in Cordova, Ala., earning All-State and All-County honors, in addition to a full scholarship to play at the University of Alabama, where he was a part of the 1992 national championship team under former Coach Gene Stallings while playing as a true freshman. He has 21 years of coaching experience, including 12 as head coach, and has coached every position, as well as all three phases of the game (offense, defense and special teams) as a coordinator.
