Monday house fire

Donations are being sought to help a local family who lost everything to a house fire Monday afternoon. The couple, Jordan Dockery and AJ Wilson, have two children, a seven-year-old daughter and a three-year-old son.

Dockery’s mother, Lisa Thomas, said they heard “a power line pop and came back inside to see sparks and flames coming from the fuse box. We are so thankful it did not happen at night after they went to bed, because they would have had to go through the room where the fire started to get outside.”

A GoFundMe account has been established to assist the family. Donations can also be made to a special account established at Buckeye Community Credit Union in Jordan Dockery’s name. The fire severely damaged a house the couple was renting at 110 Poppell Dr.
