The county’s online auction to sell the former Doctors’ Memorial Hospital building ended Monday afternoon with a high bid of $310,050, to the surprise and delight of the county commissioners.
The auction, which received a total of 200 bids, ended at 4 p.m. Monday, and County Administrator LaWanda Pemberton announced the news at the end of Monday evening’s commission meeting.
