Arlene Jackson Anderson died July 3, 2019, at Capital Regional Hospital in Tallahassee.
She was born Aug. 13, 1957, in Perry to the late Gertrude and Young Jackson.
She was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. She was educated in the Taylor County School system and graduated with the Class of 1975.
Arlene worked in various professions throughout her life, but her love for children led her to 15 years of service with the Boys & Girls Club of Perry.
Arlene was well-known throughout the Taylor County community. Her true heart and love stood with her family.
She leaves to cherish her loving, joyous spirit: a daughter, Tanya Jackson-Williams (Algeria); sons, Joshua Anderson (Carla), Jacques Lang (Adrienne) and Andre Anderson; seven grandchildren, Jalen and Angelica Williams, Haley and London Lang, Kyrie Anderson, and Dandre and Daylon Anderson; brother, Terry Lee Griffin; aunt, Essie Mae Houston; nephew, Roy M. Robinson Jr.; niece, Lanika Randall; sister-in-law, Maude R. Robinson; devoted friend, Ernest Land; God-son, Avante McNealy; God-daughter, Cavariya Cook; and a host of family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 13, Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church starting at 11 a.m. Followed by interment at Springhill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 12, from 5-7 p.m., at the church.
Trinity Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
