    Alberta Woodfaulk Brant-Eagle

    Posted on July 17, 2019

Alberta Woodfaulk Brant-Eagle was born August 28, 1928, to the late Courtney Woodfaulk and Katie Woodfaulk Blalock.

To her parent’s union, seven children were born: Earl, Ulysses, Eunice, Alberta, Estella, Randolph and Freddie Lee. All of Alberta’s siblings preceded her in death. At the age of eight, her biological father died, at which time her mother married the late Deacon Charlie F. Blalock.

Deacon Blalock, a pioneer and faithful servant of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, and Deaconess Katie were blessed by God with two sons, Ocie and Charles Blalock, Jr. Together, the Blalocks raised their nine children in a loving home and the fear and admonition of God.

On July 11, 2019, when her name was called from the Lamb’s Book of Life, Alberta peacefully transition from labor to reward at Doctors’ Memorial Hospital.

Visitation was held Tuesday, July 16, from 5-7 p.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church (located at 708 Lance Dr. in Perry). Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. at the church. The Rev. Tony O’ Graham is pastor. Interment will follow services at Springhill Cemetery. Trinity Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
