Taxable values hit near-record high

Nearly 11 years after the economic downturn in late 2008, the total taxable value of Taylor County has nearly returned to the high-water mark set that year.

According to Property Appraiser Bruce Ratliff, the projected total taxable value for Taylor County in 2019 will be $1,411,743,103 ($1.41 billion), which is only $6 million (.4%) below the record set in 2008.
