    Margie Wade Thompson

    Margie Wade Thompson, 91, passed away on July 15, 2019, in Madison. Margie was born August 15, 1927, in Paris, Tenn., to J.O. Wade and Novie Nance Wade.

    Mrs. Thompson was of the Christian faith and was a member of Spring Warrior Church of Christ. Mrs. Margie and her husband Wilton moved to Perry in 1954 from Paris, Tenn. Margie worked as a clerk with the Taylor County Tax Collector office for several years before returning to Paris, Tenn., in 1973. They retired and returned to Perry in 1989, to be close to their family, which was her number one priority. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking and reading.

    Margie was preceded in death by her parents J.O. and Novie Nance Wade, her brother C.A. Wade, and sisters Ruth Cox, Faye Gibson, and Virginia Gallimore.

    Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband of 75 years, Mr. Wilton Thompson, her daughters, Anne (Rob) Gray, and Barbara (Oscar) Howard; her grandchildren, Melissa (Randy) Cooper, Trey (Jessica) Howard, and David (Courtney) Gray, great grandchildren, Mattie and Millie Howard, and Caroline, Carson, Kennedy and Kannon Gray; her sister Bobbie Glisson; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

    Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Mr. Mike Feeser and Minister Dan Chaney officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterwards in Pineview Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
