    Lee Bern Hunter

    Lee Bern Hunter, 52, passed away on July 16, 2019, in Perry. Bern was born August 25, 1966, in Perry to R. V. Hunter and Louise Lewis Hunter.

    Bern was of the Baptist faith and attended St. Johns Christian Fellowship Church. He worked as an Operator of heavy equipment for many years.  He loved the outdoors.  Hunting, fishing, and frog-gigging were some of his passions. His greatest passion was his daughter, Torie Lee. Bern loved to laugh, joke around and never met a stranger.  He was always willing to help anyone, especially if it involved hunting and fishing to get out of work. Bern never liked to say goodbye, so in his words, “LUVYALATER!!!”

    Bern was preceded in death by his parents, R. V. Hunter and Louise Lewis Hunter, his grandparents, Cephus and Eva Mae Padgett Lewis, Robert Hunter and Edna Tomlinson, one brother, Bruce Denmark, a nephew, Michael Denmark and one brother-in-law, Wes Blue.

    Bern is survived by his daughter, Torie Lee Hunter; one sister, Robin Blue; one brother, Mike Hunter; and his wife, Sandy, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

    Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019, at 10 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Rev. Billy Gipson officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterwards in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
