Florida’s alligator hunting season will run Aug. 15 to Nov. 1

The Statewide Alligator Hunt Permit is a type of limited entry permit required to participate in the Statewide Alligator Hunt Program.

The Statewide Alligator Hunt is one of FWC’s most popular limited entry hunts, and more than 10,000 applicants will apply for about 6,000 permits on alligator management units that are established with sustainable harvest quotas to provide recreational opportunities for both residents and non-residents.
