A new school brings new changes to student drop-off policies for Taylor County Primary School (formerly Perry Primary).
The school, which houses Pre-K through second grade, will hold orientation for the upcoming school year Thursday, Aug. 8, from 5-7 p.m.
“This will be the time to meet your child’s teacher and drop off supplies,” Principal Kelli Brannen said.
She also reminds parents that school day hours will be 7:55 a.m. to 2:25 p.m., with drop-off beginning at 7:30 a.m.
Parents will only be allowed to walk their children into the building and to class the first three days of school, Brannen said.
Also, parents of pre-schoolers will be given a parking pass to park in the front school parking lot.
School officials have also announced that a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new school, which is located adjacent to Taylor County Elementary, will be held Sunday, Aug. 11, at 4:30 p.m.
