    Betty Harper Peterson Terrell

    Betty Harper Peterson Terrell, 75, of Perry, passed away at her home Friday July 26, 2019. Betty was born Feb. 14, 1944 in Cairo, Ga. to Wallace H. Harper and Edith Maddox Harper. She attended High School in Cairo, Ga. and earned her AA Degree from North Florida Junior College.

    Betty was of the Baptist faith and a member of the First Baptist Church of Perry. She was a devoted homemaker and caregiver who enjoyed cross stitch, cooking for family and friends, yard sales, missions work and traveling in her spare time. She was a member of Thimble Collectors International, Campers on Mission and AARP.

    Betty was preceded in death by: her parents, Wallace Harper and Edith Gainous; her husband, Adolph A. Peterson III, followed by her husband, Wilton “Walt” Terrell; a son, David K. Bundrick; a brother, John Vann Harper; a step-son, Adolph A. Peterson IV; and a granddaughter, Arryn Tillman.

    She is survived by: one son, James “Jimmy” Bundrick Jr. of Perry; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Tillman of Perry; two daughter-in-laws, Marina Bundrick of Perry, and Mary Lynn Peterson of Baton Rouge, La.; one brother, Wallace H. Harper, and wife, Cindy, of Cairo, Ga.; one sister, June Harper, and husband, Johnny, of Crawfordville; a step-daughter, Diane Peterson Malemezian of Cummings, Ga.; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

    Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, at First Baptist Church of Perry with Bro. Steven Ruff officiating. Interment followed at 2:30 p.m. in Capel Baptist Church Cemetery in Cairo, Ga. The family received friends one hour prior to the service. All arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
