Administrative turnover strikes district

With Superintendent Paul Dyal not recommending the re-appointment of principals at Taylor County Elementary School (TCES) and Steinhatchee School, along with the retirement of Taylor Technical Institute’s (TTI) coordinator, the Taylor County School District is bracing for significant administrative turnover in the month remaining before the start of classes.

When Dyal presented his recommendations for administrative re-appointments to the Taylor County School Board, the three principal positions were left “TBA.” The issue was brought before the board during its special meeting on Friday, June 28, during which the board approved Dyal’s recommendations without discussion.
