Disciplinarian or dictator?

Standing before a crowd of more than 100 players and family members at an “emergency parent meeting” called to discuss team rules and expectations, Taylor County High School (TCHS) Head Coach Maurice Belser unexpectedly resigned Sunday night after learning a number of players would no longer play under him.

Several players who spoke up Sunday said they and more than a dozen teammates had decided to sit out rather than continue to play under a coach they called “disrespectful” and a “dictator.”
