Chicken dinner benefits toddler

The community is invited to support a chicken dinner fund-raiser today (Friday, July 19) at Tree Capital/FSU Credit Union in support of “Little CJ” Melton, the Taylor County toddler who is battling an inoperable brain tumor.

Dinners ($7 each) will be available from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and tickets are available on-site.

“Every dinner counts and 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit Melton’s family while doctors search for a way to treat his tumor,” organizers said.
On Thursday, Melton’s aunt related that his symptoms continue to worsen and doctors remain on the case searching for treatment options.
