The Taylor County Commission has changed its policy governing how county residents can apply for new turn-offs onto their property from county roads.
While the application fee will remain $5, the county will no longer cover the cost of the lime rock placed over new culverts for turn-offs. The board also gave the County Public Works Department the authority to deny a permit for a turn-off onto high-volume roadways if it is deemed a safety hazard.
