Constituents feel ‘silenced’

Stating that she has heard “concerns” from many in her community, School Board Member Deidra Dunnell has asked her fellow board members to allow more comment from members of the public, follow up on citizen complaints and do a better job of “representing the community as a whole.”

At the school board’s recent Aug. 20 meeting, Dunnell stated she had recently held a town hall meeting at a local church for parents after the start of the new school year.
