The Perry City Council, by consensus, is looking to cut all funding for youth recreation in its 2020- 21 fiscal year budget, which would result in an estimated $30,000 in savings annually.
The city currently pays 40% of costs to the county annually to operate recreational programs for both city and county residents. The county covers the remaining 60% of the costs.
