Man charged in shooting

After a month of eluding police, a Perry man was taken into custody Thursday and charged in relation to a shooting that occurred Aug. 3 on South Warner Avenue.

Allen Pierre Collier, 37, is being held on a $600,000 bond at the Taylor County Jail on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
