Hard crash

A Chevrolet Suburban, Ford Expedition and Jeep Cherokee were all totaled in a major crash at the intersection of Ash Street and Cherry Street Friday afternoon.

According to a Perry Police Department traffic crash report, all three drivers suffered minor injuries and were transported to DMH, including two by ambulance and one by personal vehicle. The driver of the Suburban, Deonna Lashea Edwards, was charged with failure to yield right of way after pulling from Cherry Street into the path of one of the oncoming vehicles, telling police that she “blacked out” just prior to the 10:11 a.m. crash.
