Alonzo Sparrow Jr., 69, of Perry passed away Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019, in Tallahassee.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 19, at 11 a.m., at St. Peter Primitive Baptist Church. Interment services will immediately follow at Springhill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today (Wednesday) from 4-6 p.m. at St. Peter Primitive Baptist Church.

Alonzo was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo and Dorothy Sparrow. Left to cherish a life well-lived are: his wife of 46 years, Elnora Sparrow; five children, Alicia Sparrow, Michael Sparrow, Jann Tucker-Pettway (Will), Robert Tucker (Ann) and Ira Watkins; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and siblings, Delois Tensley, Lillie Bell Alexander, Alonzo Lee Sparrow, Mary Ann Sparrow, Earl Sparrow (Geraldine), Irene Williams (Charles), Diane Sparrow, Gladys Sparrow, Luke Sparrow, Mary Sparrow, Kelvin Payne (Tanika) and Frances Payne; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
