Scholarship recipient visits Perry Rotary Club

Taylor County High School graduate Austin Wynn was the 2013 recipient of the Perry Rotary Club’s Grady C. Moore Jr. Memorial Scholarship. Wynn, the son of Greg and Laurie Wynn, visited the club last week to thank members for the scholarship and to provide a short musical presentation with his guitar.

The scholarship is named for long-time member Grady C. Moore Jr., who joined the club in 1961 and was elected president in 1983.

Wynn plans to attend the University of Florida this fall, where he will be a member of the university’s band. His goal is to earn a degree in microbiology and pursue and career in medicine.
