Crash knocks out power for 70 customers

An 18-year-old Perry man allegedly left the scene of a one-vehicle crash Monday afternoon on Ash Street which damaged a power pole, cutting off electricity for around 70 Duke Energy customers.

According to a report from the Perry Police Department (PPD), Achilles Bradley Mantzanas, 18, was traveling east on Ash Street in the area of Calhoun Street shortly after 4 p.m.
