County approves contract to lease land for palmetto berries

The Taylor County Commission has approved a contract with Blue & Shiver Enterprises, LLC, of Greenville to lease 296 acres of public land to harvest palmetto barriers this fall.

Blue & Shiver was one of two bidders to submit a proposal for the contract, along with ABC Stumping, Inc., of Old Town.
