Drivers are being reminded that beginning this week, a new law in Florida is in effect banning the use of handheld wireless phones while driving in a designated school crossing, school zone, or active work zone area.
Motorists can now be stopped in Florida for using a cell phone or other communication device in a handheld manner in the above areas.
