Gunter to seek Supt. of School position in 2020

Former City of Perry mayor and county commissioner Daryll Gunter has filed to run for Taylor County superintendent of schools, becoming the first candidate to throw his hat in that race heading into the 2020 election cycle.

Gunter, who is running as a Republican, is the sixth local candidate to file with Supervisor of Elections Dana Southerland’s office for the upcoming election.
