Despite its pagan start, Halloween played a pivotal role in religious history and is today celebrated in parts of the world as “Reformation Day.”
While costume parties, trick-or-treating, pumpkin carving and haunted houses are a reminder of Halloween’s Celtic roots, Oct. 31 also marks the start of the Protestant Revolution.
