Devane joins race for District 3 county seat

Former County Commissioner Jody Devane became the fourth person to file to run for the Taylor County Commission District 3 seat in 2020 this past week and the eighth candidate to announce a run for a local city or county office next year.

Devane joins incumbent Sean Andrew Murphy, along with the Michael Elzie Newman and Richard Dale Carr, in the increasingly crowded District 3 county commissioner race. All four candidates are running as Republicans.
