Edith Louise Freeman,
60, passed away on October 20, 2019, in Perry. Edie was born September 15, 1959,
in St. Petersburg, Fla., to Joseph Davis Hunter Sr. and Edith Louise Silos
Hunter.
Edie was of the Baptist faith and
attended Blue Creek Baptist Church. Edie moved to Taylor County in 2015 and
fell for the nature and beauty it offers, where she enjoyed fishing and
catching her fair share of the redfish. Edie loved to come to town and shop, by
herself or with a friend. Edie was a devoted friend and companion to her love,
Mark Eddings.
Edie was preceded in death by her
parents Joseph Davis and Edith Louise Hunter Sr.
She is survived by her daughter
Holly Ann Moore and fiancée’ George Wise; her fiancée’, Mark Eddings; her
brother Joseph “Butch” Hunter, Jr. and sisters Linda Dawson, Helen Eney and J
Sharpe and husband Larry; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Edie’s life will
be held on Saturday, November 2, from 2 to 5 p.m., with a formal service at 3
p.m. at Blue Creek Baptist Church with Pastor David Biegle officiating. All
arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
