After rejecting plans to use a portion of its RESTORE Act oil spill funds to develop new large-scale boat ramps along the county’s coastline, the Taylor County Commission is considering five new projects for the money.
The projects now under consideration include stormwater improvements in Steinhatchee to mitigate the impacts of flooding in the area; acquiring the existing boat ramp at Spring Warrior; large-scale renovations at Hodges Park in Keaton Beach and the development of bypasses/ traffic improvements at the Keaton Beach and Steinhatchee boat ramps.
