All treats, no tricks!

Trick or treaters started hitting downtown attractions as early as 4:30 p.m. last Thursday afternoon for the annual “Trunk or Treat” event. By 6 p.m., streets were nearly full with a wide cast of characters — from superheroes to princesses and even a zombie or two.

Treats galore were handed out from “trunks” hosted by local businesses, churches, community groups and individuals. Then, just prior to the clock chiming 7 p.m., a sudden downpour sent everyone running for cover, bringing a quick end to the night’s festivities.
