Come out to Loughridge for ‘Unity in the Community’

All residents are invited to attend the first “Unity in the Community” event planned this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Loughridge Park.

“Everyone in the community is invited to join us for a day of unity and fun,” Coordinator Shirlie Hampton said.

“There will be free food, drinks, food vendors, arts and crafts vendors, bounce houses, local county and state resource booths, health screenings, face painting, horseback rides, train rides, games, a deejay and much more,” she said.

Local youth are invited to take part in a poster contest with the theme “What ‘Unity in the Community’ means to me.” Cash prizes will be awarded.

There will also be a dance contest and free giveaways.

A devotional service is planned at 11 a.m.
